Day 1& 2...Down and Out In LA - 28th June

Hoorah we are finally here!

Yesterday we arrived mid morning. The hostel we are staying in isn't as good as the Orbit Hostel, but the room is private and we have our own toilet. There were a few tattoo'd people hulking on the front steps when we turned up, and our bedroom pretty much fits the double bed and the walls hit either side of it. We arrived early so our room wasn't cleaned but we were desperate for a shower. Upon which our cleaner decided to clean our room and sprung us both naked in there! Our hostel is just off the main strip of Hollywood Blvd where the walk of fame is. So we wandered down there and the whole place is tattoo parlors, really bad lingerie shops and souvenir shirt places. Hmmm. We went and saw Grauhmans Chinese theatre where the stars hands and feet were imprinted and mucked around there for a bit. Nathan put his hands in Jack Nicholsons. Go Jack. We saw that coke nostril photo~!

Then not too sure what to do, we ended up getting hustled and did one of those star home tours in a stretch limo (it was cheaper than the bus tours). The American's here don't get the dry aussie humour, they take themselves to seriously. I was trying to josh with our driver and he didn't get half the things I said~! Oh well. The houses we saw were Christina Aguilera (Di you'd appreciate that) , Nic Cage, Dr Phil, Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Playboy Mansion (Nate perked up at that one!) TomKat (I flipped them the bird) and Michael Jackon's plastic surgery photo. Parked out the front of Paris Hiltons pad amongst the ferrari's and land rovers was a Mercedes McLaren SLR, about $1.5mill. Nathan was very excited and took some photos of that one! It was just parked on the grass to the side! Amazing.

Since I didn't get any sleep on the plane, I pretty much passed out in the limo on the way home, snoring open mouthed in front of the other tourists. So we staggered back to the hostel and passed out around 5pm and woke up 15 hours later ready for the next day.
