Day 33...Global Gathering oh yea take two -29th July

Forced ourselves up with the alarm to get our inclusive breakfast. Sat there looking like mutants and struggled to stay awake through it, then went back to bed. Rattles stayed in bed. We got up around 2pm and went and had a nice pub lunch in Leamington Spa before catching the bus back to Global. And wow - the DJs on today....

Fatboy Slim, Eric Morillo, Shapeshifters, Paul van Dyk, Paul Okenfold, Armin Van Buuren, Judge Jules, Carl Cox, John Digweed, Danny Howells, Herman Cattaneo, Junior Jack, and so on and so forth!

There were a lot more people and much more extravagance with the outfits today. There was even a full alien suit and a darth vader cruising around. More people were chopped and vomiting as well. There were huge black guys charging through the crowds going "pills....charlie...pills...charlie", it was great. There were lots of amyl nitrate bottles being passed around through the crowd. (we declined).

The best DJ for the night was Okenfold! I had never seen him live and had always wanted to even though I thought he had declined a bit. I liked his earlier stuff then thought he went a bit commercial. I was wrong. He played a cracking set in the Gods Kitchen tent with about 12,000 people it was so much fun.

We finished up just after 2am as the big DJ's had finished. The festival went till 7am but the DJs were crap and we were tired and couldn't be assed.

It ended up raining that night as well, and you had to pick your way through massive mud puddles. I was very grateful for my cosy hotel room and sorry for those hundreds of poor bastards in their tents in that wetland!!!
