Day 43...Hard Rock Cafe - 8th August

Ate our pre-bought stuff from the night before, and spent some time on the free internet the hotel had. It's so hard to catch up!!! We're seeing so much stuff and the internet takes up so much time! Also, we are staying in a lot of country areas to get a real feel, (as cities are all quite similar, Neil Read was right) so they don't have much internet.

We had a short wander around Manchester looking for a second hand bookshop then took off. We stopped by Manchester United football stadium and club on the way. Main its an impressive building! We didn't go on tour though, neither of us were in the mood. So we set off for London, with the mandatory traffic jam due to someone beefing it. So we wre delayed 4 hours, even with our detour. Slugged it straight there and got to Kristins around 8-9ish. She had left a key out for us, so we dumped our stuff, showered and then bussed it to her work - the Hard Rock Cafe. This one is the first Hard ROck Cafe ever, and has Eric Claptons guitar over the bar (the one that set off the tradition of rock star merchandise).

Yukked it up with Kristin, had a few drinks and some food and finished up in bed around 3am. It was good to see her at work, and see what she does as I imagine. I miss her!
